    Position:                    Project Manager II

    Department:              Project Consulting Group

    Supervisor:                Misty Wayne


    Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

    • Organizes and manages scope, schedule and costs of medium to large cross-functional business and/or technical projects utilizing standard project management methodologies and practices
    • Serves as focal point for all project matters and responsible for meeting project related objectives
    • Develops, maintains and reports project status to all levels of management
    • Provides guidance and coaching to team members on project management practices and assigned tasks
    • Manages issues, changes and risks
    • May provide vendor management during project implementation phase
    • Facilitates vendor selection activities as needed to support the project to include RFP/RFI development, vendor selection and contracting
    • Interfaces with group companies to collaborate and develop project synergies
    • Assists with the development of project management standards and templates for the organization, and ensures adherence to ITS and Project Management Office standards



    Qualifications / Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, Information Technology or related field
    • 5 - 6 years relevant experience
    • Comprehensive knowledge and application of project management principles and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes
    • Demonstrated leadership skills including effective written, oral and listening skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of the Company and with outside vendors and agencies
    • Demonstrated presentation skills for effective group presentations
    • In-depth problem solving skills for duties including preparing and monitoring project requirements and resolving cost and time constraints
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to effective handle various projects and conflicting priorities
    • Ability to manage business process improvement and/or software development or system implementation projects
    • Good working knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel) and Microsoft Project


    Additional Qualifications Preferred:

    • Project Management Professional certification
    • Property and Casualty experience


    Special Circumstances

    • May periodically work extended hours to meet project timelines and implementation schedules
